  • One lane of I-90 eastbound near Little Falls remained closed for several hours Tuesday morning after two tractor-trailers collided, causing one to catch fire, state police said.
The crash occurred at about 6:15 a.m. at mile marker 213.5 in the town of Little Falls.
State police said an empty trash hauler that was eastbound on the New York State Thruway struck the back of another tractor-trailer, forcing the tractor-trailer off the road and into a rock wall.
The impact into the rock wall caused the tractor-trailer to catch fire, police said.
The trash hauler, meanwhile, came to rest blocking one lane of traffic, police said.
Both drivers reportedly suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash, police said.
Both lanes of traffic were re-opened by 9:30 a.m., but the shoulder was still closed, police said.
    No tickets were issued.
