  • Janet M. Sullivan, 75 of 186 State Route 170, Little Falls passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing where she has been a resident since January 10, 2013.
    She was born on September 10, 1937, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Charles M. and Lela (Mosher) Steele, Jr. Mrs. Sullivan was a graduate of the Little Falls High School class of 1955.
    Mrs. Sullivan was united in marriage to her husband of 21 years, John T. (Jack) Sullivan, on September 22, 1962, at St. Mary’s Church, Little Falls, with the Rev. Joseph Reger. Mr. Sullivan predeceased her on July 22, 1983.
    She was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls, and American Legion Post 31.
    She enjoyed her ceramics and crocheting and cherished the time she had taking care of others as a home health aid. She had a special love for animals.
    Janet was employed at one time by Niagara Mohawk as a secretary, drove a school bus for many years for the City of Little Falls and Rich Carney, Little Falls, Valley Home Furnishings and JCPenny. Her last employment was taking care of many individuals as a Home Health Aid.
    She is survived by her two sons John C. Sullivan and his fianee, Ann Pedrick, Little Falls, Kevin Sullivan and his wife Veronica, Little Falls; four grandchildren, Jason Sullivan and his wife, Nora, Jonathon Sullivan and his fiancée, Elizabeth Arcuri, CJ Pedrick and Jennifer Pedrick; three great-grandchildren, Isabella and Lilyan Sullivan, and Kadyn Pedrick; and a very dear and beloved friend, Jeanette DiPietro; and several cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Betty J. Steele and Wanetta C. Singer.
    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main and John Sts, Little Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer.
    Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 North Ann Street, Little Falls, on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning.
    It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Sullivan be considered to the Herkimer County Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY. 13407 or to H.A.L.O., 72 North Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
