    The Fort Plain Hilltoppers moved within one win of a perfect run through the Western Athletic Conference’s North Division Wednesday by rallying in the fourth quarter and beating Saratoga Catholic 36-32.

    The Fort Plain Hilltoppers moved within one win of a perfect run through the Western Athletic Conference’s North Division Wednesday by rallying in the fourth quarter and beating Saratoga Catholic 36-32.
    The Hilltoppers (14-1, 11-0 WAC North) have already clinched first place in the league but found themselves trailing 26-23 after three quarters on the road. They outscored the Saints (5-9, 3-7 WAC North) 13-6 in the final period and notched their fifth consecutive victory.
    Abby Boyer led Fort Plain with 14 points.
    Kaylie Fish scored 15 points for the Saints.
    The Hilltoppers travel to St. Johnsville Friday to complete play within the division.

    CANAJOHARIE 56, ST. JOHNSVILLE 42
    ST. JOHNSVILLE, N.Y. — The Canajoharie Cougars took the lead with 24 points in the second quarter and defeated the St. Johnsville Saints 56-42 Wednesday.
    Trailing 14-9 after the opening period, the Cougars (9-7, 8-4 WAC North) rallied and took a 33-22 halftime lead.
    Alexis Kane scored 12 points to lead Canajoharie while Lauren Balfe and Jenelle Dillenbeck each had 10.
    Rylie Smith scored 17 points for St. Johnsville (1-12, 0-10 WAC North) and Samantha Cleveland had 15.
    The Saints play at home Friday against Fort Plain. Canajoharie awaits its opponent for Western Athletic Conference crossover play.

    The Wolverines (7-5, 5-5 TVL) led 17-13 at halftime and 32-23 after three quarters. They outscored the Indians 18-2 in the final period.
    Cassie Sklenka led Worcester with 12 points and Jillian Perillo scored 10.
    Kaity Richvalsky was the high scorer for Richfield Springs (2-11, 1-9 TVL) with seven points.
