  • Milford J. Madison, 75, of Dolgeville, passed away early Friday morning, May 24, 2013, at his home with his loving family by his side.

  • Milford J. Madison, 75, of Dolgeville, passed away early Friday morning, May 24, 2013, at his home with his loving family by his side.
    He enlisted in the United States Army on Sept. 11, 1961. He proudly served his country as a specialist fourth class during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged on June 28, 1963.
    Milford was united in marriage to Maryann Doxtader on July 18, 1970, at St. Joseph’s Church in Dolgeville.
    He worked for Feldmeier Equipment in Little Falls as a welder for over 30 years until his retirement in 2001.
    Milford enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Milford was a proud lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
    He is survived by his wife, Maryann Madison, at home; his children, Amy Schmid and her husband, James Tylor, of Cold Brook; Mary Vickers and her husband, Shawn, of Salisbury, and Thomas Madison and his wife, Carine, of Dolgeville; his grandchildren, Emily May and her husband, Michael, Austin Vickers, Ryan Schmid, Carter Madison, Molly Vickers and Gracie Madison; his mother-in-law, Edna Doxtader; his brothers and sisters; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins.
    In keeping with Milford’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. The family is being cared for by Miller-Plonka Funeral Home, 30 Wolf St., Dolgeville.
