  • A Herkimer woman faces felony charges related to alleged welfare fraud, the Herkimer County Sheriff's Office said.

    Corrin Dykeman, 29, of 326 Pleasant Ave., Herkimer, is charged with felony first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and misdemeanor misuse of food stamps, deputies said.

  • A Herkimer woman faces felony charges related to alleged welfare fraud, the Herkimer County Sheriff's Office said.
    Corrin Dykeman, 29, of 326 Pleasant Ave., Herkimer, is charged with felony first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and misdemeanor misuse of food stamps, deputies said.
    Dykeman allegedly gave her welfare benefit card to another person in exchange for cash and then reported the card stolen. She will appear in Herkimer Village Court on June 5, deputies said.
    Deputies also reported Wayne S. Harrington, 47, of 198 1⁄2 Burwell St., Little Falls, was arrested for misdemeanor fifth-degree welfare fraud and misdemeanor petit larceny. Harrington allegedly used another person’s welfare benefit card to obtain $197.87 worth of grocery items, deputies said.
    Harrington will appear in Herkimer Village Court on June 5, deputies said.
