  • Counting Crows and The Wallflowers will appear at Turning Stone Resort Casino this summer as part of the resort's 20th Anniversary Celebration.
    The two bands will take the stage at the Event Center at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 2. Tickets go on sale this Friday, a news release stated.
    Both bands rose to fame with multi-platinum albums in the 1990s: Counting Crows released "August and Everything After" in 1993, and The Wallflowers released "Bringing Down the Horse" in 1996, the release said.
    Other accolades include an Academy Award nomination for the Counting Crows' song "Accidentally in Love" from the film "Shrek 2" in 2004, and two Grammys for The Wallflowers' 1998 hit "One Headlight."
