    An outcome that remained undecided through 60 minutes of regulation play Friday was resolved in less than one minute of overtime as the Herkimer Magicians defeated Clinton 1-0.

    An outcome that remained undecided through 60 minutes of regulation play Friday was resolved in less than one minute of overtime as the Herkimer Magicians defeated Clinton 1-0.
    Nicole Zaleski tallied 22 seconds into overtime as Herkimer took the ball, marched into the circle and scored quickly on its home field. The Magicians rushed down the field and Krista Green carried the ball into the circle. Zaleski took a pass to Green’s right and sent a backhand shot into the cage between Clinton goalie Bailey Bach and the left post.
    Clinton changed goalies twice. Bach played the first half and overtime and Nicole Murdoch played the second half. The pair combined to make eight saves.
    Haley Servidone notched the shutout in goal for Herkimer without facing a single shot.
    Herkimer had 12 corners to one for the Warriors.
    Both teams play on the road Wednesday, Herkimer at Ilion and Clinton at Mohawk.
    MT. MARKHAM 2, MOHAWK 0
    MOHAWK, N.Y. — Haley Roseen and Lizzie Jones scored goals for Mt. Markham Friday in the Mustangs’ 2-0 shutout of the Mohawk Mohicans.
    Jones scored with 9:50 left in the first half and gave the visitors a 1-0 lead; Bryn Hoover assisted. Roseen added a goal assisted by Ales Hoover seven minutes into the second half.
    The Mustangs outshot the Mohicans 11-3 and had 17 corners to Mohawk’s six. Goalie Amanda Otis made three saves in the shutout.
    Anna Carroll had nine saves for Mohawk (4-6-0, 4-5-0 CSC East).
    Mt. Markham travels to Ilion Tuesday. Mohawk’s next game is Wednesday at home against Clinton.
