In Frankfort, Michael J. Entwistle won the election to fill a vacancy on the village board, edging out Martin L. Ciaccia (Democrat, Friends of Frankfort) by a vote of 115 to 101.
Entwistle ran on the Caring Friends of Frankfort line and will fill the remaining three years on Francis J. Spatol's term. Spatol died last October after being re-elected to the village board. He had served on the board since 1991 and as deputy mayor since 2006.
Entwistle will take office in July.
James Alsante, who was appointed to fill the vacancy until a special election could be held, did not file petitions to run for the seat.
