  • Herkimer man arrested on drug charges

  • A Herkimer man was arrested early Monday after members of the Herkimer Police Department’s Special Response Team executed a “no knock” search warrant at 419 N. Prospect St.

    Micah J. Battalio, 22, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.

    Micah J. Battalio, 22, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
    Police confiscated heroin, cocaine, prescription medications, scales, packaging materials and over $1,300 in cash from the residence.
    Battalio was arraigned and committed to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond.
    Herkimer police were assisted by the Herkimer County District Attorney’s Office in the investigation and additional arrests are pending.
