  • Carol Canter has accepted the position of director of clinical services for Slocum-Dickson Medical Group.
    Canter joined the group on June 1, 2009, as clinical coordinator. Prior to joining Slocum-Dickson, she was the executive director of Mohawk Valley Home Care for over 15 years. She was also previously employed with Slocum-Dickson in the early 1990s as the director of home care.
    Canter received her associate’s degree in science from Mohawk Valley Community College where she also completed the respiratory therapy technician program. She became a licensed respiratory therapist through California College of Health Science and sharpened her leadership skills through professional development programs such as Executive Leadership Coaching Program from Pathfinders CTS and Essentials of Leadership from Development Dimensions International.
    In addition to her professional responsibilities, Canter also takes an active role in the community. She is a board member and officer of Health Friends and a volunteer for the Zonta Club.
