  • FRANKFORT-SCHUYLER 5, LITTLE FALLS 4
    The Little Falls Mounties fought back after spotting Frankfort-Schuyler a four-goal lead at Wehrum Stadium Wednesday but the Maroon Knights held on to win 5-4.
    Vinny Spataro’s goal put the Maroon Knights up 4-0 2:14 into the second half.
    Mat Armlin had three goals and an assist from Little Falls (1-11-0, 0-6-0 CSC-II) which never tied the score but had the final three goals of the contest. Armlin’s first goal was followed five minutes later by Dan Kislyak’s goal which put the Maroon Knights up 5-1.
    Armlin set up a Brad Smith goal with a free kick in the middle of the second half. He added two more unassisted goals in the final six minutes and moved the Mounties within one goal of tying the contest with 1:31 left to play.
    Kislyak and Emra Ljubijankic each had a goal and an assist for Frankfort-Schuyler (5-7-2, 4-3-0 CSC-II). Ljubijankic, Joe Juliano and Trenton Skinner all scored in the first half to put Frankfort-Schuyler up 3-0.
    Mike Swienton made four saves for the Maroon Knights and Juliano had one after a switch early in the second half. Cole Douglas had nine saves for Little Falls.
    The win moved Frankfort-Schuyler ahead of Herkimer and into second place in the Center State Conference’s Division II standings. West Canada Valley has already clinched a first-place finish.
    Little Falls plays on the road Friday at West Canada Valley and Saturday at Camden. Frankfort-Schuyler’s next match is Tuesday in Mohawk.
    WEST CANADA VALLEY 2, HERKIMER 1
    NEWPORT, N.Y. — Chase Roesler’s second goal snapped a tie in the second half Wednesday and the West Canada Valley Indians defeated Herkimer 2-1.
    West Canada Valley (8-6-0, 7-0-0 CSC-II) had clinched the Center State Conference’s Division II title one day earlier when Herkimer tied Mohawk. Wednesday’s win moved the Indians within one win of a perfect finish in the league.
    The Indians led 1-0 at halftime. Roesler scored 9:12 into the match with a long shot off an assist from George Youngs.
    Herkimer (4-8-2, 3-3-1 CSC-II) tied the score midway through the second half with a Mark Verenich header off a cross from Tucker Vogt.
    Roesler scored the deciding goal with 13 1/2 minutes left to play off a rebound of a shot by Youngs.
    West Canada Valley goalkeeper Mike Sternberg did not face a shot in the first half and finished with three saves. Austin Perry had seven saves for Herkimer.
    West Canada Valley completes league play at home Friday with a match against Little Falls. Herkimer travels to Waterville Saturday to meet the host school at 1 p.m. in the rescheduled consolation match at the Brothertown Optimist Tournament.

    ILION, N.Y. — Zach Terry scored in the first half Wednesday and the Ilion Golden Bombers defeated Adirondack 1-0.
    Kyle Morris assisted on Terry’s goal and Andre Drozdov made seven saves in the shutout for the Golden Bombers (4-7-1, 3-5-0 CSC-I).
    Jordan Millard had 10 saves for Adirondack (7-5-0, 4-4-0 CSC-I).
    Ilion plays at Sherburne-Earlville Friday.
    MT. MARKHAM 9, MORRISVILLE-EATON 1
    WEST WINFIELD, N.Y. — Tyler Plows, Devan Palmer and Davide Delia scored multiple goals for Mt. Markham Wednesday in the Mustangs’ 9-1 win over the winless Morrisville-Eaton Warriors.
    Plows had three goals and two assists while Delia and Palmer each scored two goals for the Mustangs (7-5-1, 4-4-0 CSC-III). Warren Salo and Justin Korosec each added a goal while Travis Beach had two assists and Kris Pontero had one. Mike Gras started in goal and made two saves; Plows finished and added one.
    Josh Farrar scored in the first half for Morrisville-Eaton (0-8-0, 0-7-0 CSC-III) with an assist from Alejandro Fuentes-Lamb. Alex Clarke made 21 saves.
    The Mustangs play at Sauquoit Valley Friday.
    WESTMORELAND 5, OWEN D. YOUNG 0
    WESTMORELAND, N.Y. — Nick Drake and Morgan Rolewicz each scored twice Wednesday in the Westmoreland Bulldogs’ 5-0 victory over the Wildcats from Owen D. Young.
    The Bulldogs led 3-0 at halftime and got 11 saves from Kyle Doolen in the shutout. Brandon Murphy scored the team’s other goal.
    Kyle Ferguson made 12 saves for the Wildcats.
    Owen D. Young takes on Poland at home Friday.
    OLD FORGE 4, REMSEN 1
    REMSEN, N.Y. — The undefeated Old Forge Eskimos scored thrice in the second half Wednesday and beat Remsen’s Rams 4-1.
    The teams had been tied at 1 at halftime.
    Sam Waterbury had a goal and an assist for Old Forge. Tor Kristian Ruud, Josh Matteson and Austin Down each had a goal and Ethan Kress made six saves.
    Shane Decker made 12 saves for Remsen and Reiss Brand scored a goal in the first half.
