    The Herkimer Magicians won Monday’s battle of the unbeatens in Little Falls.
    Sophomore Shannon Cool allowed a run in the first inning then shut Little Falls out the rest of the way in Herkimer’s 6-1 victory. The Magicians (8-0, 4-0 CSC-II), ranked 12th in the state in Class C by the New York State Sportswriters and Coaches Organization for Girls’ Sports, tallied twice to take the lead in the fourth inning and added a run on a two-out error in the fifth. Cool tripled in the sixth and her courtesy runner scored on a dropped third strike.
    Joy Williams doubled in a run for Herkimer in the seventh inning then scored on a single by Megan Ball.
    Working with a lead, Cool retired the Mounties (3-1, 3-1 CSC-II) in order in the sixth and seventh innings.
    Lindsey Parese, Shellbi Morris, Williams, and Ball all had two hits for Herkimer.
    Little Falls plays Wednesday at West Canada Valley while Herkimer travels to Frankfort-Schuyler.

    MOHAWK 5, FRANKFORT-SCHUYLER 3
    MOHAWK, N.Y. — Audrey Bunce earned the victory in the circle and delivered the game-winning hit Monday in the Mohawk Mohicans’ 5-3 win over Frankfort-Schuyler.
    The Mohicans (5-2, 2-2 CSC-II) trailed 3-1 before scoring four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Bunce drove home two runs with a single.
    Cara Briggs had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for Mohawk and Johna Cusworth singled and scored a run.
    Katie Raab singled, scored a run and drove in a run for Frankfort-Schuyler (1-4, 1-3 CSC-II) and struck out seven batters while pitching a five-hitter. Amanda Impink drove in a run with a double and Marcella Costello doubled and scored.

    DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — Danielle VanName had four of West Canada Valley’s 29 hits Monday and the Indians defeated the Dolgeville Blue Devils 21-1.
    Kalli Warmingham, Sydney McEvoy and Alexis Fauvelle had three hits each and McEvoy scored 4 runs.
    Shania McEvoy and Alexandria Willoughby combined for 10 strikeouts while allowing four Dolgeville hits.

    ILION, N.Y. — Clinton tied Monday’s game in the top of the sixth inning but Ilion’s Golden Bombers came back with four runs in the bottom of the inning and defeated the Warriors 9-5 for their first win of the spring.
    Ilion had led 5-0 through five innings behind Rebecca Hale who struck out nine batters and allowed four hits.
    Taylor Lindig and Nikkii Schumacher each drove in two runs for the Golden Bombers (1-4, 1-3 CSC-I) while Sydney Putnam and Makayla Donato each had two hits.
    Aneesa Lewis drove in two runs for Clinton. Mariah Gibson recorded 12 strikeouts.

    POLAND 16, OLD FORGE 5
    POLAND, N.Y. — Kara Morrison had a pair of doubles among her three hits Monday in the Poland Tornadoes’ 16-5 win over the Old Forge Eskimos.
    The Tornadoes took a 3-1 lead with two runs in the third inning then scored six in the fourth.
    Paige Sullivan also doubled twice for Poland.
