In the news: Later this week Google is expected to announce it is offering an Android tablet, and details of the device were leaked to Gizmodo Australia. The 7-inch tablet will run on the latest Android system, 4.1, aka Jelly Bean. It will be priced around $200, much like Amazon's Fire.

Watercooler talk: Judge orders teen to have ponytail chopped off for reduced sentence
A judge in Utah reportedly offered a reduced sentence to a 13-year-old girl if her mother chopped off her ponytail in court. District Juvenile Judge Scott Johansen had originally sentenced Kaytlen Lopan to a youth detention center, community service and a fine after she was admitted to cutting the hair of a 3-year-old and harassing another teen.
