    The West Canada Valley Indians started their second pass through Division II of the Center State Conference with a 4-0 win in Mohawk Tuesday as they moved closer to clinching a league title.
    With Herkimer’s 3-2 win at Frankfort-Schuyler Tuesday, the Indians (6-3-0, 5-0-0 CSC-II), who are unbeaten in five-team league play, are now two games up in the standings with three matches left to play.
    Mike Sternberg made eight saves for West Canada Valley and preserved the shutout with a diving stop to his right in the final two minutes.
    Alex Williams had a goal and an assist for the Indians who led 3-0 at halftime. Joey Levesque, George Youngs and Andrew Conte each scored a goal.
    Connor Schultz made seven saves for Mohawk (2-6-1, 1-4-0 CSC-II).
    The Mohicans travel to Little Falls Thursday while West Canada Valley is home for its match against Frankfort-Schuyler.
    FRANKFORT, N.Y. — The Herkimer Magicians shut Frankfort-Schuyler out 2-0 on the road Tuesday and moved into a tie for second place with the Maroon Knights in Division II of the Center State Conference.
    Herkimer (4-6-1, 3-2-0 CSC-II) has won its last three league matches after losing its first two in overtime, including a 2-1 defeat at home against Frankfort-Schuyler (4-6-1, 3-2-0 CSC-I) Sept. 10.
    McLane Tyoe scored first Tuesday and the Magicians led 1-0 at halftime. Tyoe booted the ball from midfield and had it take a bounce off a Maroon Knight on its way into the net 22 1/2 minutes into the contest.
    The score went unchanged into the 79th minute. Kyle Unser had a shot in close for the Maroon Knights and failed to score; the Magicians broke out to the other way and Kyle Rivers scored off a Tucker Vogt assist with 1:55 on the clock.
    Dan Kislyak had shot wide from 18 yards out less than a minute before Unser’s chance.
    Goalies Mike Swienton for Frankfort-Schuyler and Austin Perry for Herkimer each made five saves. The shutout was the fourth this season for Herkimer, all in the last six matches.
    Frankfort-Schuyler plays at West Canada Valley Thursday. Herkimer next plays at home Saturday against Sauquoit Valley.
    LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — The Camden Blue Devils won for the first time this season Tuesday when they defeated Little Falls’ Mounties 5-1 at Monroe Street Field.
    Gavin Huante broke a 1-all tie with the first of his two goals 6:22 before halftime then added one of three Camden goals in the second half. Josh Spencer had scored first for the Blue Devils (1-7-0) and Marc Snow and Dustin Bourgeois each added a goal in the second half. Goalkeeper Andrew Hill made seven saves.
    Page 2 of 2 - Brad Smith’s goal in the 12th minute of play had pulled Little Falls (1-9-0) even at 1. Cole Douglas made 11 saves for the Mounties.
    Little Falls takes on Mohawk at home Thursday.
    REMSEN, N.Y. — The Poland Tornadoes got a goal and an assist each from Mark Shelhamer and Cody Broadbent Tuesday and stayed unbeaten with a 5-1 win over the Remsen Rams.
    Mark Hennings, Nick Kattato and Alan Johnson all scored goals and Matt Sypolt had an assist for the Tornadoes (8-0-2). Mitch Jones made 10 saves.
    Robert Kuiken scored a goal and Sebastian Ballard mad 13 saves for the Rams.
    Poland plays at Westmoreland Thursday.
    CANASTOTA, N.Y. — Sam Greenfield and Chris Welch each scored a goal for Ilion Tuesday in the Golden Bombers’ 2-0 shutout victory over the winless Canastota Raiders.
    Josh Terry and Kyle Morris each contributed an assist for the Golden Bombers (3-6-1, 2-4-0 CSC-I) who led 1-0 at halftime. Goalkeeper Andre Drozdov recorded three saves.
    James Kimball made 12 saves for the Raiders (0-8-0, 0-6-0 CSC-I).
    Ilion plays at Holland Patent Thursday.
    COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — The Cooperstown Redskins defeated Mt. Markham 3-1 Tuesday for their eighth consecutive victory.
    The Redskins (8-1-0, 4-0-0 CSC-II), who have not lost since their opening match at Clinton, got goals from Mike Rowley, Isaac Gomez and Steve Schultz and led 2-1 at halftime at home. Ethan Bliss had an assist and Kevin Frevele made six saves.
    Kris Pontero scored in the first half for Mt. Markham (5-4-1, 3-3-0 CSC-II) with an assist from Davide Delia. Goalkeeper Mike Gras made 12 saves.
    The Mustangs play Thursday at Hamilton.
