  • Celebrate Justin Bieber’s birthday at Gelston Castle Estate

  • Gelston Castle Estate will host a birthday bash for Justin Bieber on Friday, March 1, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the performance hall of Chateau Safflyn.

    Event planner Bill Schmelcher said while the night will be geared toward the singer’s younger female fans, the event will be open to Bieber fans of all ages.

  • Gelston Castle Estate will host a birthday bash for Justin Bieber on Friday, March 1, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the performance hall of Chateau Safflyn.
    Event planner Bill Schmelcher said while the night will be geared toward the singer’s younger female fans, the event will be open to Bieber fans of all ages.
    Admission will be $10 for a program that will include a screening of one of the singer’s concerts on the estate’s large video screen, with sound provided by Sounds Alive.
    “It doesn’t look like Justin Bieber will appearing in concert in the area any time soon, so this is an opportunity for his fans to see him perform his biggest hits,” said Schmelcher. “As I have said before, every seat in the house will be like a front row seat.”
    In addition to the screening there will be a presentation on Bieber’s impact on popular music. Snacks and beverages will also be available for a nominal fee, said Schmelcher.

    Also, on Saturday night, area residents are invited to dance the night away when Gelston Castle Estate hosts its second Disco Dance Oldies Night from 7 to 10 p.m.
    The evening will include sound and lights by Sounds Alive and DJ Retro and will take place inside the performance hall at Chateau Safflyn. Admission will be $10 per person.
    Event planner Bill Schmelcher said music by the Bee Gees, K.C. and the Sunshine Band, Donna Sommer and Gloria Gaynor, as well as songs by Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie Madonna, The Beatles and others will be played throughout the evening.
    He added songs will include “Get Down Tonight,” “Stayin’ Alive,” “I Will Survive,” “Dancing on the Ceiling,” “Don’t Stop ‘til You Get Enough,” and “Like a Prayer.”
    “As with our previous dances at the mansion, the performance hall will be emptied to provide ample space for a dance floor,” said Schmelcher.
    Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
