  • A Herkimer woman has been accused of causing multiple fractures to her infant son.
    Jacqueline J. Oeser, 19, was charged with felony second-degree assault, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and making a punishable false written statement, police said.
    The investigation began after a relative brought the three-month-old child to the emergency room, police said.
    The child has since been treated and released and is in the care of Herkimer County.
    Oeser was arraigned and sent to Herkimer County jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bail bond.
    Additional charges are pending as police continue the investigation along with the Mohawk Police Department.
