As people struggled to cope with the tragedy that unfolded at a Denver-area theater on early Friday, people were left wondering just what set off James Holmes, the suspected shooter. Holmes, 24, was a neuroscience student at the University of Colorado-Denver but was in the process of withdrawing from the program. During the shootings, he calmly gunned down people, and he had at least four guns and tear gas with him. Officials said Holmes told them he had a bomb inside his apartment, and they found the place booby trapped.

"The problem is customers want and expect a decrease in price and are continually disappointed. The industry may be preparing to go through a big transformation over the next few years just like the wireless industry did with Apple and Google." - Tech analyst Jeff Kagan, talking about the expected aftermath of the deal between Viacom and DirecTV that was reached Friday.
