  • LITTLE FALLS 4, MOHAWK 3, nine innings
The Little Falls Mounties came from behind twice Friday night and eventually beat Mohawk 4-3 in nine innings at Veterans Memorial Park.
Gen Schoff’s fourth-inning single was the only hit for Little Falls through five innings against Audrey Bunce. Trailing 2-0, the Mounties got one run in the sixth and tied the game in the seventh.
Bunce gave Mohawk a new lead in the top of the eighth when she hit a sinking line drive to right-center and circled the bases as the ball skipped past an outfielder.
Jenna Becker led off the bottom of the eighth with a double and the Mounties tied the game again when she scored on a single by Kelli Shepardson.
Kaitlyn Duesler led off the ninth with another double for Little Falls. Mohawk narrowly missed a chance to escape the inning when shortstop Lexy Johnson snared a line drive off the bat of Rachel Demeree and attempted a diving tag as Duesler scurried back to second base. Duesler moved to third base when Ashley Giaquinto grounded out. Duesler then scored the wining run  on a wild pitch.
Amy Hart struck out six batters for LIttle Falls and walked none.
Becker and Demeree each had a run-scoring single for LIttle Falls. Becker and Shepardson each had two hits in the game.
