    The Little Falls Mounties are off to a 2-0 start following a 3-2 win in Clinton Wednesday.
    The Mounties, 3-2 winners at home one day earlier against Sauquoit Valley, took two of Wednesday’s three singles matches and split with the Warriors in doubles play. Katie Simonelli and Sienna Caracane won in straight sets in singles play for the Warriors and Lindsey Tolman and Elizabeth Simonelli added a win in their doubles match.
    Simonelli defeated Olivia Kodsy 6-4, 6-4 and Caracane was a 6-3, 6-3 winner against Esther Mazor. The scores of the two sets won by the Tolman-Simonelli tandem were 6-4 and 6-4 against Sydney Pavlik and Brianna Kaufman.
    Samantha Malak, the No. 1 singles player for Clinton (1-1), did not lose a game in her match. Laura Hopkins and Rebecca Williams won in doubles play for the Warriors.
    Little Falls is home for its match Friday against Waterville.

    SAUQUOIT, N.Y. — Sauquoit Valley’s Tanya Brutsky and Rena Topor won a third-set tie-breaker in doubles play and helped the Indians defeat Ilion’s Golden Bombers 3-2 for their first win of the season.
    Sauquoit Valley’s top two singles players — Ella Brutsky and Dana Bever — were 2-0 winners while Ilion’s Kacey Visser was a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 winner against Kayla Barnes and Golden Bombers Kayla Barrows and Maureen McMahon took their doubles match by scores of 6-4 and 6-0 against Maiah DeGeronimo and Kira Baran.
    Topor and Tanya Brutsky dropped the first set of their match against Ilion’s Hayley Metz and DaniLynn Engert but came back to win 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6).
    The Golden Bombers (0-1) play at home Friday against Canastota. Sauquoit Valley (1-2) visits Herkimer Friday.

    WATERVILLE, N.Y. — The Waterville Indians did not lose set in Wednesday’s 5-0 win against the Herkimer Magicians.
    Bethany Frye and Justice Russell won an 8-6 tie-breaker in the first set of their No. 1 doubles match against Katelyn Wiegand and Rachel Roberts. That set proved to be the closest call for Waterville (1-0).
    Herkimer (0-2) plays at home Friday against Sauquoit Valley while Waterville travels to Little Falls.
