  • The Little Falls Fire Department responded to a report of smoke visible at a residence at the intersection of Top Notch and Dise roads in the Town of Little Falls Tuesday at 4:49 p.m.

  • The Little Falls Fire Department responded to a report of smoke visible at a residence at the intersection of Top Notch and Dise roads in the Town of Little Falls Tuesday at 4:49 p.m. Upon arrival with Engines 111 and 112 and Ambulance 600, firefighters found flames coming from the front door of the home. Approximately 100 gallons of water were used to extinguish the fire. No one was at home at the time. The living room and kitchen area of the residence, according to reports, sustained considerable fire and heat damage, while the rest of the residence sustained smoke damage. The Herkimer Fire Department was called to standby at the station and the East Herkimer Volunteer Fire Department was called to provide a tanker at the fire scene. The tanker was canceled en route. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The department personnel returned to service at 7:27 p.m.
