    Senior Tyler Baumeister pitched a two-hit shutout in his first varsity mound start Monday and the Little Falls Mounties defeated Adirondack’s Wildcats 4-0 at Veterans Memorial Park.

    Senior Tyler Baumeister pitched a two-hit shutout in his first varsity mound start Monday and the Little Falls Mounties defeated Adirondack’s Wildcats 4-0 at Veterans Memorial Park.
    Baumeister struck out 10 batters and walked two in the win. He also had two of Little Falls’ seven hits and drove in a run.
    Mike Izzo had a run-scoring single in the second inning for Little Falls and added a sacrifice fly in the fifth. The Mounties (1-1) scored twice in the third
    inning when Mitchell Baumeister came home on a wild pitch and Tyler Baumeister drove Theo Wind home with a single.
    Freshman Andy Mucica doubled as a pinch-hitter in his varsity debut for Little Falls.
    The Mounties’ next game is Monday against Mohawk.

    DUANESBURG 4, ST. JOHNSVILLE 1
    ST. JOHNSVILLE, N.Y. — Duanesburg’s Sean McGarry struck out nine batters Monday in the Eagles’ 4-1 win over the St. Johnsville Saints.
    McGarry allowed five hits and a single fourth-inning run. Leading 2-1, the Eagles (1-1) got a two-run single from Cody Largeteau in the sixth inning to give McGarry a three-run lead.
    Dylan Klock had two hits for St. Johnsville (1-1).
    The Saints are home again Wednesday for a game against Canajoharie.
