Cinemax is showing great faith in Banshee. Only a few weeks into the show's run, the network renewed the freshmen drama for a second season on Tuesday.

Benson vs. Bones: Pick your favorite TV crime fighters

Banshee stars Anthony Starr as Lucas Hood, an ex-con who masquerades as the sheriff of Banshee, Pa., while continuing to pursue his criminal hobbies.

Banshee airs Fridays at 10/9c on Cinemax.
