John Mayer never bit his tongue when it came to voicing his opinions on his past relationships (See: Jessica Simpson, among others), but it comes as a pleasant surprise that he now admits he was wrong in airing his dirty laundry in public.
"I was just a jerk," Mayer said in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, according to US Weekly.

Mayer's most famous foot-in-mouth occurrence was referring to former fling Jessica Simpson as "sexual napalm." His other relationships include Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Minka Kelly, among others.
Now that he's healing from surgery on his vocal cords, Mayer hopes to make amends. "It's very liberating when you finally realize it's impossible to make everyone like you," he says in the interview, which is slated to air on Sunday. "I wanted everybody to like me. I thought I was one shuck and jive away in every direction."
