The Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office Welfare Fraud Unit recently arrested Vadim Nikoulenkov, of 54 Prospect Ave., Ilion, for fifth-degree welfare fraud, fourth-degree grand larceny and offering a false instrument for filing.
Deputies said Nikoulenkov failed to disclose bank account funds and rental income which allowed him to fraudulently receive welfare benefits totaling over $1,600.
Nikoulenkov was arraigned in front of Herkimer Village Justice Karl Manne and he was released after posting bail. He will reappear in Herkimer Village Court on Aug. 21 at 3:30 p.m.
