Johnstown man arrested for making bogus bomb threat

A Johnstown man was arrested Tuesday night for calling in a bomb threat to a St. Johnsville residence.
Adam Rose, 29, of 103 Gilbert St., was charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident.
According to police, Rose called in a bomb threat to 9 Monroe St., St. Johnsville, on July 7. St. Johnsville police and Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies searched the home, but no bomb was found. Working with Gloversville police, St. Johnsville police tracked the call to Rose, who was interviewed on July 8. An arrest warrant was issued for Rose on July 10.
Police said the motive for the crime was “loneliness.”
Rose was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond.
