An Oppenheim man has pleaded guilty to possessing and producing child pornography, according to federal prosecutors.
Nathan Brown, 32, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Albany to three counts of producing and two counts of possessing, officials said.
Brown admitted that between 2010 and 2011, he used various smartphones to produce child pornography videos and still images of three different girls, all of whom were between the ages of 8 and 11 at the time the videos and images were produced.
The videos and still images were produced in either a trailer home in Fulton County or in a hotel room in Warren County.
Brown further admitted that at his residence in Dolgeville, he possessed thousands of child pornography still images and videos, all of which he acquired via the Internet.
Sentencing was scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
This case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security.
