Residents will head to the polls on June 19 in four Herkimer County villages — two of which will be choosing a mayor.
In Frankfort and Mohawk, mayors Frank Moracco and Irene Sweet, respectively, face challengers on the ballot.
Republican Richard Adams Jr., 40, is running against Moracco, 56, a Democrat. Sweet, 65, an independent, is being challenged by Republican James “Jim” Baron, 28.

Mayor: Incumbent Frank M. Moracco (D, i), Richard D. Adams Jr. (R)
Trustee (two seats): Incumbent Francis Spatol (D, i), Mark Harris (D, i), Carolyn Amendolare Dunadee (R)
Justice (two years remaining in term): Shawn Marie Luther (R), Glenn D. Asnoe (i)
The vote: Noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall.
Herkimer
Trustee (two seats): Harold Stoffolano (R), Mark Netti (D), Anthony Brindisi (R)
The vote: Noon to 9 p.m. at Herkimer High School, Herter Street Garage, Midtown Apartments and Nathan Castle Apartments
Ilion
Village justice (four years): Stephen Canipe
Trustee (two seats): Joanne Moore (R, D), Robert Wellington (R), David Murray (D)
The vote: Noon to 9 p.m. at municipal building and Moose Lodge on Barringer Road
Mohawk
Mayor: Incumbent Irene Sweet (i), James Baron (R)
Trustee: Incumbent George Cryer (i)
