A Utica man faces a felony charge regarding stolen scrap metal, Frankfort town police said.
David K. Ingerham, 27, of Blandina Street, was charged on Friday with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
Ingerham, who is a parolee stemming from a grand larceny conviction, was caught shortly after he tried to cash in stolen scrap metal from a Utica business at Crash’s Scrap Metal on West River Road in Frankfort, police said. Police said they received a complaint from the owner of Metal Logix. When the owner confronted Ingerham, police said Ingerham fled and was apprehended hiding under a trailer.
He was arraigned in Frankfort Town Court and sent to the Herkimer County jail in lieu of cash bail.
More charges are pending.
