FRANKFORT, N.Y. — Richard Cohen finished out front in a field of 296 finishers Saturday at the Great American Irish Festival’s third annual five-kilometer Ranger Run.
Utica’s Cohen ran a time of 17:47 for the course beginning and ending at Herkimer County’s fairgrounds. Runner-up Patyrick Micaroni of Blossvale clocked in at 18:06 with Jerry Tylutki of Utica and Sean Laubenstein of Mohawk also coming in with times under 19 minutes.
Michele Nizzi of Frankfort won the women’s competition. She placed 11th overall with a time of 20:00, one spot and 15 seconds ahead of Sarah Raabis of Worcester, Mass.
