WEST CANADA VALLEY 41, BEAVER RIVER 13
The undefeated West Canada Valley Indians led 28-0 at halftime Saturday on the way to a 41-13 victory over winless Beaver River.
Jack Minasi ran for 195 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries and Ryan Moody threw two touchdown passes in the first quarter for the Indians (6-0) who are ranked 11th in the state in Class D. Moody threw touchdown passes of 19 yards to Brandon Roberts and 12 to Max Searles before Minasi scored his first touchdown on a 55-yard run and put the visitors up 21-0 in the opening period.
Minasi ran for another touchdown in the second quarter and his third put West Canada Valley up 34-0 in the third quarter before Beaver River (0-6) got its first points on a kickoff return for a touchdown by Isaiah Riccio.
Roberts added a touchdown run for the Indians. Moody completed six of the eight passes he attempted for 84 yards.
West Canada Valley finishes the regular season at home Friday against Dolgeville in the annual Battle of Barto Hill.
