AMSTERDAM MOHAWKS AT LITTLE FALLS MINERS, doubleheader, postponed

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — Rain once again left the conditions unplayable at Veterans Memorial Park Saturday and the Little Falls Miners were rained out of their third consecutive home game.

The Miners’ scheduled doubleheader with the Amsterdam Mohawks has been rescheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. Both games will be seven-inning contests and tickets from all three postponed games — Sunday against Amsterdam, Thursday against Watertown and Saturday’s doubleheader against Amsterdam — will be honored at the gate.

The Miners will also take a third try at holding Little Falls Hospital Night Monday. The hospital’s night was originally Thursday and had already been rescheduled for Saturday.

Tickets for the raffle of New York Mets tickets and bats autographed by Vernon Wells and Derek Jeter will be sold at Monday’s and Tuesday’s games. The winning tickets will be drawn Tuesday when the Miners are at home for another 5 p.m. doubleheader against Watertown.
