The Mohawk Mohicans outscored Ilion 46-15 in the second and third quarters Thursday and defeated the Golden Bombers 70-42.
Carson Murphy poured in 26 points for the Mohicans (3-1) and had seven of their 14 steals. Kainan McCarthy scored 122 points and blocked five shots and Mike Santillo had 11 points.
Herschel Ivey and Brandon Harrison each scored 14 points for Ilion (1-1).
Ilion plays at Mt. Markham Saturday afternoon. Mohawk travels to Dolgeville Tuesday.

NEWPORT, N.Y. — The West Canada Valley Indians hit 11 three-pointers Thursday and rolled to a 70-46 win against Oriskany.
The Indians (2-1) scored 25 points in the opening period and led 41-13 at halftime.
Alex Williams led West Canada Valley with 17 points and 10 rebounds; he also had three of the three-point baskets. Jordan Yaworski had four threes and scored 14 points and Ryan Grogan had 11 points.
Freshman Ryan Schmadel scored 24 points to lead Oriskany (1-1).
West Canada Valley also won the junior varsity game.
The Indians are home Monday for their game against Little Falls.

WESTMORELAND, N.Y. — Westmoreland took an early lead Thursday and the Bulldogs defeated the Dolgeville Blue Devils 42-33.
The Bulldogs jumped ahead 17-6 in the first quarter and shot 8-for-17 from three-point range. John Gerace scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Taverne added eight points and 15 rebounds. Gerace had four of the eight three-pointers for Westmoreland (1-1) and also had three steals.
Shane Jaquay scored 16 points for Dolgeville (0-2).
Westmoreland also won the junior varsity game.
Dolgeville is home Tuesday for a game against Mohawk.
