The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum haas moved its Hall of Fame Classic to Memorial Day weekend for 2013.
The fifth annual Hall of Fame Classic old-timers game will be played at Doubleday Field May 25 and promises to feature several Hall of Famers and dozens of other former big leaguers. The first pitch of the seven-inning game is set for 2 p.m., following a parade along Cooperstown’s Main Street at noon and the hitting contest at 1 p.m.
Tickets for the 2013 Hall of Fame Classic will first be available for purchase on Feb. 12, 2013. Ticket prices will be $12.50 for first and third base seats and $11 for outfield seats and will be available online at www.baseballhall.org. For more information, please call (607) 547-0397.
Other featured activities during Memorial Day weekend include the Legends for Youth Skills Clinic at Doubleday Field, a Voices of the Game roundtable discussion with Hall of Famers Saturday evening following the game, and families playing catch on on the field Sunday morning.
