The Herkimer County Community College Generals are no longer undefeated following Saturday’s 2-0 loss at Division I Mercer County Community College.
Kevin Flores and Carlos Torres each had a goal for Mercer (6-7-0) against the NJCAA’s top-ranked Division III team. The goals were the seventh and eighth scored against the Generals this season.
The Vikings led 1-0 at halftime.
Triston Henry made five saves and Erik Szczerba had one for Herkimer (13-1-0). Ruben Morales made three saves in the shutout for Mercer.
Herkimer plays Wednesday at Tompkins Cortland Community College.
