JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. — The 19th annual Thanksgiving Eve Sports Card and Memorabilia Show will be held Wednesday, 5-9 p.m. at the Johnstown Moose Club with Johnstown native and Atlanta Braves pitching prospect Derick Himpsl signing autographs.

The show features 60 dealer tables full of sports cards and related memorabilia from baseball, football, basketball, hockey, NASCAR and wrestling.

Himpsl, who pitched for St. Johnsville’s Morris J. Edwards Post 168 American Legion team before being signing with the Braves in 2006, will be on hand to sign free autographs throughout the evening. The 23-year-old left-hander pitched for the Appalachian League championship team in Danville, Va., this summer and compiled a 3-0 record with one save out of the bullpen while striking out 35 batters in 21 1/3 innings. Himpsl photos will be available for signing.

Free door prizes of sports memorabilia and 20-pound turkeys will be given away throughout the event. For more details, contact Mike Hauser by calling (518) 725-5565 or visit their website at www.tcsportspromotions.com.
