The Dolgeville Blue Devils were 3-0 winners over Herkimer Friday in the season’s second meeting between the 2012 Section III finalists.
Dolgeville, the reigning Class C-2 and overall Class C sectional champions defeated last year’s Class C-1 runners-up by scores of 25-9, 25-14 and 25-15.
Ashley Mettler had 12 kills, seven aces, 12 assists and two digs for Dolgeville (10-5, 7-0 CSC-II); Emily Young had 14 assists, four aces, one kill and five digs; Mikey Rubas had four kills and six digs; Abby Mosenthin had six kills and one assist; Kiersten Manchester had three aces and two digs; Chelsea Bennett had nine digs, three aces and one kill; Emily Briggs had three kills, one ace and one dig; Taylor Brandow had three kills and one dig; Courtney Rachon had four digs and one assist; Rachael Randall had three digs and one ace; and Annabelle Lee had one kill and two digs.

Herkimer won the junior varsity match 2-1, coming back after the first game to win 22-25, 25-18, 25-20. Camilla Rios served seven aces for Dolgeville with four digs; Kaylee Brandow had four aces, two kills and five digs; Courtney Normoyle had four aces, five assists, one kill and three digs; Emilie Bode had four kills and four digs; Katie Millard had four assists, two aces, a kill and five digs; and Cheyanne Sullivan had three aces, two kills and a dig.

ILION, N.Y. — The Adirondack Wildcats defeated Ilion’s Golden Bombers in three games Friday by scores of 25-8, 25-11 and 25-19.
Kacey Visser had three aces, four kills, one block and two digs for Ilion (0-10, 0-7 CSC-I); Nickee Thibault had six assists and one ace; Shelby Callaghan had three kills and an ace; and Cassandra Pagnotta had three aces and one kill.
