The Mt. Markham Mustangs won five of their eight games in round robin play Saturday and finished third at Whitesboro’s five-team tournament.
New Hartford lost only once and finished atop the standings at 7-1. Whitesboro went 6-2 to finish in front of Mt. Markham. Sauquoit Valley and Vernon-Verona-Sherrill both posed 1-7 marks.
New Hartford’s Mackenzie Holbert was the tournament’s most valuable player. Bridget Wilcox from Mt. Markham and Carli Bartlett from Sauquoit Valley were among the tournament’s all-star selections.
