The Little Falls Mounties went a full five games with Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Friday with the Red Devils taking the last three to claim a 3-2 victory on the road.
Coming back from a two-game deficit, the Red Devils won 18-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.
Mat Armlin put down 28 kills for Little Falls (2-1) along with five blocks and an assist; Vinny Visconti had 28 assists and four kills; Kyle Barnes had 11 assists an an ace; Mitchell Smith had six kills and one block; and David Stephenson had six kills.
Jarett Durant had 10 kills and one block for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (1-0); Jacob Bitz had eight kills, one ace and 13 digs; Brian Burkle had seven kills and three blocks; Devin Vallee had 20 assists and a pair of aces; Austin Lynch had nine assists and served three aces; and Kyle Chandler had four kills and two blocks.
Vernon-Verona-Sherrill was a 2-1 winner in junior varsity play.
The Mounties play at Sauquoit Valley Wednesday.
