ST. JOHNSVILLE 3, DUANESBURG 0

Triston Engle scored two goals Saturday and the St. Johnsville Saints defeated Duanesburg 3-0 in the first round of Schoharie’s Sharpe Tournament.

The Saints led 1-0 at halftime. Kyle Smith added a goal for St. Johnsville while Brandon Campione and Dylan Klock each contributed an assist. Goalie Rickey Jasewicz recorded nine saves in the shutout.

St. Johnsville meets Schoharie in Saturday’s championship match.

POLAND 4, WESTMORELAND 0

RUSSIA, N.Y. — Mark Shelhamer had two goals Saturday in the Poland Tornadoes’ 4-0 win over the Westmoreland Bulldogs.

Ross Agen added a goal and an assist, Mark Hennings scored a goal, and Dan Borner and Cody Broadbent each had an assist for the Tornadoes (2-0-0, 1-0-0 CSC-IV). Mitch Jones made one save in Poland’s second shutout in as many tries.

Kyle Doolen recorded 10 saves for Westmoreland (2-1-0, 0-1-0 CSC-IV).

FRANKFORT-SCHUYLER 3, REMSEN 3

REMSEN, N.Y. — The Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights led 2-1 at halftime Saturday and played the Remsen Rams to a 3-3 draw in overtime.

Joe Juliano, Trenton Skinner and Dan Kislyak scored goals for the Maroon Knights (0-2-1) and Mike Swienton made 16 saves.

Ron Kuiken and Garrett Shufelt each had a goal and an assist for Remsen (2-0-1) and Matt Kuiken scored the other goal. Shane Decker and Sebastian Bullard combined to make seven saves.
