ST. JOHNSVILLE 7, SHARON SPRINGS 0

Triston Engle and Johnny Vicciarelli each had two goals for St. Johnsville Wednesday night in the Saints’ 7-0 win over the Sharon Springs Spartans.

The Saints (1-0-0, 1-0-0 WAC Central) led 4-0 at halftime and goalkeeper Rickey Jasewicz made 13 saves in the shutout.

Kyle Smith and Kodi Brown each had a goal and two assists for St. Johnsville and Vicciarelli had an assist to go with his two goals. Jimmy Rumrile scored the other goal.

St. Johnsville will compete in Schoharie’s Sharpe Tournament this weekend.

FORT PLAIN 2, CANAJOHARIE 0

FORT PLAIN, N.Y. — The Fort Plain Hilltoppers got goals from Joe Ray and Marcus Failing Tuesday and defeated Canajoharie 2-0 for their second consecutive shutout.

Ray scored with an assist from Aiden VanLoan in the first half and Failing added a goal in the opening minutes of the second half for Fort Plain (2-1-0, 1-0-0 WAC Central).

Fort Plain plays on the road Friday at Sharon Springs.
