POLAND, N.Y. — The Poland Tornadoes opened league play Monday with a 47-44 win over Oriskany, Section III’s two-time defending Class D champion.Oriskany beat the Tornadoes three times last year and went unbeaten through the regular season and sectionals.Poland (3-1, 1-0 CSC-IV) fell behind in the first quarter but outscored the Redskins (1-1, 0-1 CSC-IV) 12-2 in the second and led by four points at halftime. The margin was two entering the fourth quarter.
DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — The Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights led by nine points at halftime and defeated Dolgeville’s Blue Devils 53-45 on the road.
CANASTOTA, N.Y. — The Canastota Raiders dealt Dolgeville its first defeat of the season, beating the Blue Devils 3-1 at home Monday.The Raiders won the first two game on their way to a 25-23, 25-14, 20-25, 25-23 victory.
WATERFORD, N.Y. — Aiden Van Loan scored 22 points Sunday and led Fort Plain to its first win of the season. The Hilltoppers were 55-26 winners over the Chatham Panthers in their final game at Waterford-Halfmoon’s tip-off tournament.

CICERO, N.Y. — Fulton topped a field of teams Saturday to win the Andersen Tournament championship at Cicero-North Syracuse High School.
FORT PLAIN, N.Y. — The Fort Plain Hilltoppers answered each Herkimer run until the last one and the Magicians earned a 67-57 victory Saturday in the final game of the Section II/Section III Challenge.
