Dear Michael: Lost weight, still don't feel good

Dear Michael,

I’ve recently lost close to 100 pounds, yet I’m finding it difficult to dress this new body. I know I should look much better in clothes than I did before the weight loss, however, I just can’t shake feeling like my old self. I catch myself picking at all my old flaws all the time and just want to feel like I know I should. Any suggestions for feeling more comfortable in my own skin?

Sincerely, Skinny Complex

Dear Skinny,

You’re the only one who can make you feel comfortable being you, sweetie. I’m sure it’s a huge adjustment but, over time, you’ll probably find yourself becoming more accustomed to your new frame. And stop being so hard on yourself! A massive weight loss like that is something to celebrate, not develop a depression over!

Love, Your Diva Michael

Dear Michael,

My cousin is getting married this month and had scheduled all of us who are in the bridal party an up-do appointment at a hair salon. The whole bridal party is accounted for, excluding Grandma (who is 82 years old). Her reason being that Grandma is too old to partake in the “getting ready” activities, which I think is absolutely ridiculous. My question to you is how old is too old to participate in the bridal preparation ceremonies?

Sincerely, Oldie but Goody

Dear Oldie,

You are absolutely right, that is beyond absurd! If Grandma is part of the bridal party, she deserves to be treated as such! I think Grandma just missed the wire! In my opinion 93 is the cut off age! Who says grandmas can’t be fabulous!

Love Your Diva Michael
