Mrs. Ida Ganann, formerly of Route 5 Fort Plain, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2009. Her passing, which was unexpected, occurred in the Community Hospital, New Port Richey, Fla.
Mrs. Ganann was born in St. Johnsville on November 2, 1917, daughter of the late John and Rose (Ziemba) Droski, and was educated in St. Johnsville schools. She was joined in marriage with Harry Ganann, with whom she shared a union for 65 years. Harry now resides in Huntington Beach, Calif., with his son and daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Ganann was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Droski, and half brother, Alex Mustapak.
There will be a small service at 10:30 a.m. on June 27 at the gravesite in West St. Johnsville Cemetery.
