Frank J. Peckay, 83, a long time Little Falls resident, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, with the love and support of his family.

Frank was born in Little Falls on January 19, 1930, the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Posetta) Peckay. He was educated in Little Falls Schools and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the United States Army in Germany. On April 16, 1955, in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia A. O'Hara; the couple sharing 58 years of commitment, love and mutual respect.

Frank worked for over 40 years as a tool and dye maker for General Electric, Utica. He was a member of the Ilion Elks Lodge and Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. Frank was passionate about life, horses, wildlife and the love for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his sons, Fran Peckay, of Buffalo, and Thomas Peckay and wife, Tiffiny, of Ilion; his daughters, Elaine Peterson, of Fayetteville, Barb Weber and husband, Leon, of Sandwich, MA; his cherished grandchildren, Ashley and Abigail Weber, Garrett and Elizabeth Peterson and Sara Peckay; his in-laws, Charlie and Barb O'Hara, of Little Falls, and Dolores Peckay, of Herkimer; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Peckay; a sister, Mildred Diodati; and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Peckay.

Those wishing to express an act of kindness in Frank's memory may make a contribution to Holy Family Parish, 763 E. Main Street, Little Falls, NY 13365.

In keeping with Frank's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A memorial mass will take place at Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, in the spring, at a date and time to be announced.

The family has entrusted all funeral arrangements to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY, (315) 823-2424, and they are under the direction of Harry J. Enea, Jr.
