Ava Harrison, 95, a lifelong St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at her home.
She was born December 20, 1912, in the town of St. Johnsville, the daughter of the late Everett and Nellie (Gilbert) Flanders, and was educated in Youkersbush School.
Her marriage to Cornelius (Nealy) Harrison took place on June 6, 1931. Mr. Harrison passed away in 1989.
Mrs. Harrison was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Oeser and husband, Henry, of St. Johnsville, and Barbara Christman and husband, Clarence, of Fort Plain; four grandchildren, Wendy Rhein and husband, Jim, of Westborough, Mass., Jill Snell and husband, Kevin, of Inghams Mills, Warren Christman and wife, Cindy, of Fort Plain, and Neal Oeser and wife, Rayna, of Fort Plain; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandsons.
She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Alvin and Everett Flanders.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Reformed Church in St. Johnsville. Burial will follow at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
