Jean Ferguson, 76, of St. Johnsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2012, with her loving family by her side.

She was born December 20, 1935, in Canajoharie, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Jessie (Sparrin) Ferguson, and was educated in Fort Plain schools.

Jean was last employed at Lassale Labs in Canajoharie, NY. At one time, she was employed at Johnstown Knitting Mill for over 40 years.

Jean loved traveling; while on her travels, she was an avid shopper. She also had a special love for her cat, Blacky, and loved the family holidays and also loved her boat trips.

Survivors include a sister, Joan Keba and husband, William, of Fort Plain; a special niece, Deborah Smith and husband, Timothy, of St. Johnsville; a niece, Eva Rumrill and husband, Richard, of Oppenheim; two nephews, Anthony Keba, of Canajoharie, NY, and Joseph Keba and wife, Kathy, of Fort Plain; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, including Tenisa Smith, in which she had a special relationship with.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. from the Vincent A. Enea Funeral Service, 20 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, NY, 518-568-7040, with Reverend R.W. Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Plain Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
