Rosemarie Peruzzi, 70, of 79 Church St., Little Falls, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008, at her residence with her loving family at her side following a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident, she was born in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Henry Zuccaro, who predeceased her on August 13, 1979, and the late Rose (Gargiulo) Zuccaro, who predeceased her on May 21, 2008. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School, class of 1955.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 51 years, Alvaro Peruzzi, on September 16, 1956, at St. Joseph’s Church, Little Falls.
Mrs. Peruzzi along with her husband owned and operated the former Al’s Shoe Service in Little Falls for 48 years, retiring in 1997.
Mrs. Peruzzi enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who always put her family first, she is survived by her husband Alvaro; three sons, Alvaro Peruzzi Jr., Lawrence Peruzzi and Renato Peruzzi, all of Little Falls; her daughter, Angela Bright and her husband, David, of Little Falls; her brother, Henry Zuccaro and his wife, Leslie, of Little Falls; five grandchildren, Janella Peruzzi, Alex Peruzzi, Zachary Bright, Hayley Peruzzi and Makenna Peruzzi, all of Little Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her twin daughters, Linda and Lisa Peruzzi, in November of 1957.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of Main and John streets, Little Falls, with the Rev. Anthony Ligato officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the church on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 10-11 a.m. and to attend the funeral service to follow.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann St., Little Falls.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Peruzzi be considered to Hospice Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
