Mrs. Helen Mae Metz, 89, of Palm Harbor, Fla., and a former Dolgeville resident, died on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, after a long and happy life.
She was born in Litchfield on Nov. 7, 1922, the daughter of the late Thomas and LeElla (Budlong) Augar. Helen was well-known in Dolgeville for having run the Dolgeville Restaurant for many years and was also employed by the former Daniel Green Company. Her quick smile and friendly personality were contagious.
She is survived by her children, Betty and her husband, Larry Fazio, of Dolgeville, and Shirley and her husband, Steven McClinnis, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; her grandchildren, Rosemary Cool, of Ohio, Richard Cool, of Florida, Larry and Krisztino Fazio, of Lake George, Sean and Karroll McGregor, Laura Byard, Jennifer Al-Amin and Jason Darling, of Georgia; her brother and his wife, Glen and Joan Augar, of Dolgeville; and a sister, Virginia and Donald Gardner, of Lessburg, Fla.; a son-in-law, Richard Cool; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Theodore Miller and Richard Metz; a daughter, Rosemary Cool; and a granddaughter, Shelia Jessop.
A graveside service will be held on June 7, 2013, in the Salisbury Rural Cemetery, at a time to be announced.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brian A. Roberts of the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville.
