Robert “Pinky” A. Warn, Sr., 67, of Little Falls, passed away peacefully, April 11, 2012, in Bassett Healthcare Center, Cooperstown.
He was born on May 5, 1944, in Little Falls, the son of the late Charles A. and Margaret Dubrey Pierce Warn, Sr., and was educated in Little Falls schools. Robert was united in marriage to the former Sharon A. Lamanna on Oct. 19, 1963, in St. Mary’s Church, Little Falls. Mrs. Warn passed away on Nov. 28, 2007.
Robert most proudly served in the United States Marines fighting for his country in the Vietnam War. His greatest honor was being able to serve and defend his country. He had arms of steel and heart of gold.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Robert A. Warn, Jr., and Yvette Chrisman, of Herkimer, Connie and James Williams, of Ilion, Michael Warn and Tracey Wells, of Herkimer, Tammy Ruggerio and Michael Christman, of Amsterdam, and Daniel Warn and Erica Crimmins, of Little Falls; his grandchildren, Christopher Warn, Robert Warn, III, Jessica McLain, Bernard Weaver, III, Michael Warn, Jr., Edward Ruggerio, Jr., James Williams, Jr., Andrew Warn, Marissa Williams, Kayleigh Warn, Jenna Warn, Daniel Warn and Cheyanne Williams; thirteen great-grandchildren; his brother, Charles Warn, of Ephratah; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith and Albert Walrath, and Mildred and Ralph Miller, all of Little Falls, and Anna Pierce, of Herkimer; and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his sister, Beverly Martynuik.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, on Sunday, April 15, 2012, 2 to 5 p.m. Robert’s funeral will commence at 5 p.m., Sunday, in the chapel of the funeral home, immediately following the visitation. Interment will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, at the convenience of the family.
