Katherine J. Cheney, 102, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
She was born Oct. 9, 1910, to Celia and James Jordan in Little Falls. Katherine was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls. Much of her working career was spent as an office manager at Gregorka’s Camera Shop. After retirement she and her husband Charles spent many happy years in Winter Haven, Fla.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Charles E.; sons, James “Jay” and Charles “Chip;” and great-granddaughter, Amanda. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Webber (Mathew), of Cazenovia; her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Cheney, of Corinth; grandchildren, Zach, Kate, Chip, Bill, Lynne, and Jill; four great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a niece, Margaret; and nephew, Harold (Wally) Cheney, whose monthly letters to Katherine were very much appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at Crouse Community Center for Katherine’s excellent care. Should you desire, contributions can be made to CCC Activities, 101 South St. Morrisville NY 13408.
